How to Fold Back Seats in a Jaguar XF in Older Models With the Yellow Pull Switch

• Open up the trunk of your Jaguar XF and remove the rubber guard on the right side.
• Next, pull back the paneling that the rubber guard was holding in place.
• You should find a free-hanging tube with a yellow pull switch on it.
• After locating the yellow switch, pull it to release the lock that holds the right rear seat in place.
• Once you release that latch, you will be able to fold the seat down.
• Repeat this process on the other side.

How to Fold Back Seats in a Jaguar XF in Older Models Without a Yellow Pull Switch

• Open the trunk.
• Remove the back upper section of the trunk liner.
• Locate the oval-shaped hole in the metal from underneath where you just removed the trunk liner.
• Inside that hole, you’ll see a latch that’s held together by a spring.
• Take a screwdriver or wrench and pull that spring apart by applying force to the right knob attached to the spring.
• While you have the spring stretched out, push against the back seat with your other hand.
• Repeat these same actions with the opposite side to fold down the other back seat. 

Jaguar XF Rear Seat Removal

• Release the center rear seat belt by pressing the release button on the buckle using a seat belt tongue from an outboard rear seat.
• Locate the two tabs in just below the rear seat on either side and lift the tabs.
